Fishery Information
Set in the stunning Piethorne Valley, Ogden Reservoir is a 35 acre stretch of water that offers prime fishing to both the beginner and more seasoned angler. This site has become extremely popular with the local angling community both for its scenery and optimal Trout fishing. The waters are open from dawn until dusk, with the fishing season lasting from 25th of March to 31st October. Tickets start from £8.50, with discounts being offered for juniors and the elderly. Children are permitted to fish in the venue; however, they must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
The waters are healthily stocked with Carp, Bream, Tench, Pike and Trout.
What size do the fish go to?
Bream and Tench tend to come in between 3-7lbs. Large Pike, Carp, and Trout have all frequently been landed at weights exceeding 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Using luncheon meat as bait tends to be effective. Anglers may also wish to use a feeder with sweetcorn or worms to entice the larger Carp. Only barbless or de-barbed hooks may be used, and boats or float tubes are not permitted.

Clean and accessible toilet facilities are open to visitors.
