Fishery Information

Old Heath Lake is part of Little Heath Farm Fishery. It is a picturesque fishing lake close to Gamlingay in Cambridgeshire.

The 6.25 acre lake is surrounded by trees and features clear water. The location is simple to get to and signposted from the main roads.

Little Heath Farm Fishery is an established facility catering for day ticket visitors and match bookings.

It should be noted this is a trout fishery favoured by fly fishermen and women.

The lake is stocked on a weekly basis with rainbow, brown and triploid trout for sport fishing.

The water is between 11 and 20 feet in depth and very clear.

This is not a recommended lake for newcomers or children.

What size do the fish go to?

The average fish at Little Heath is 2lb. The outright record for the lake is a rainbow trout of 11lb 10oz.

What tactics work well?

Traditional flies such as pheasant tail, damsel’s and hare’s ears, as well as natural flies such as mayfly, sedge and hawthorn.

What facilities are on site?

There are toilets on site.

Is parking available?

Parking is available with a short walk to the lake.
