Derbyshire is the location of Olver Lake, given its name after one of the club’s secretaries, Mr. Richard Olver. Mr. Olver served as the club’s secretary for more than 25 years and oversaw the club’s administration during some of the most trying moments in its history. The lake covers an area of around 12 acres and is home to a healthy population of carp, common carp, and bream. Premium ticket holders are the only ones who can fish here.
What size do the fish go to?
The Lake has a good stock of carp between 8lbs to 38lbs, stock of common carp to 32lbs and some large bream to 17lbs.
What tactics work well?
Pole fishing with boilies as bait will catch you some good carp.
