Fishery Information
Not far from Upminster in Essex, and within easy reach of the M25 motorway, is Pea Lane Fishery.
A recovered former gravel pit used for the construction of the motorway, the site was purchased by Becmain Angling Society in 1989.
The club have remodeled the banks and planted extensively, creating a very pleasant fishing location close to the major population centres.
The construction of swims gave a choice of spots to fish from with plenty of shade from the trees.
The lake was initially stocked with carp, bream, roach, tench and perch, with the original fish now reaching impressive sizes.
Summer opening times are 7am to 7pm, but may change due to unforeseen circumstances so an advance check is recommended.
Day tickets are sensibly priced and the lake permits 2 rods. For extra cost and with bailiff permission 3 rods may be allowed.
Barbed hooks are not permitted, a maximum 12lb mainline, and all visitors must be in possession of a current valid fishing licence.
Night fishing is not permitted at Pea Lane.
