Fishery Information
Plantation Lakes is a beautiful complex with three lakes to fish. The Coarse Lake has 40 pegs and currently has a good stock of smaller carp, bream, tench, roach and rudd. Horseshoe Lake is a match-style lake that often sees local competitions. It is heavily stocked with F1, carp, chubb, bream, perch, roach and rudd. Finally, there is the carp lake, with a good head of quality and nice-sized carp.
What size do the fish go to?
Coarse and Horseshoe lakes have some wonderful fish in them. They may not be the biggest, but there are carp to double figures in both lakes. There are also bream, tench and roach to good sizes in both too.
The carp lake has carp to 25lbs plus and plenty of double-figure carp as well.
What tactics work well?
Fishing to the island on the carp lake is a good option, but open water fishing works well too, if you can find a clean spot. You should pay attention to the margins.
The other two lakes are best fished match-style. A pole or waggler rod will do extremely well on these lakes. So will method feeder fishing with pellets or groundbait.
What facilities are on site?
Plantation Lakes has an on-site shop with a good range of tackle and baits that are very popular with the fish on the complex. They also do family tickets for day tickets, have equipment available to rent and more.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available; you can also drive directly to your swim on certain lakes.
