Fishery Information
This fishery is run by Clive Vale Angling Club.
The Point Field fishery is a gravel pit covering approximately 3 acres. It is home to Carp (mid to upper doubles), Rudd (up to 1lb), and Eels (5lb+). While these are the known species, there may be other species present but yet to be identified.
What size do the fish go to?
The Carp in Point Field can reach mid to upper doubles in weight, providing a good challenge for anglers. The Rudd go up to at least 1lb, and the Eels can reach weights of 5lb or more.
What tactics work well?
Successful tactics at Point Field include using a maximum of 2 rods per angler, as this limit has been implemented due to the popularity of the water. Additionally, to maintain the environmental balance and prevent blue algae growth, there is a bait limit of 1kg per day per angler. Excessive ground baiting is discouraged to protect the health of the fish, pond life, and other animals.
What facilities are on site?
There are no toilet facilities at Point Field, so anglers should come prepared. The fishery does provide off-road parking through metal gates, using the same lock combination as Saunders. However, driving to the swims is not permitted for environmental reasons.
Is parking available?
Yes, off-road parking is available at Point Field. Anglers can access the parking area through the metal gates using the lock combination shared with Saunders fishery.
