Fishery Information
Pottishaw Fly Fishery is a family-run business that was established in 2004. The fishery focuses on providing quality fishing and excellent customer service. Fly fishing for trout is the main activity, and day tickets are available for visitors.
What size do the fish go to?
Pottishaw Fishery stocks a variety of fish, including rainbows, browns, blues, and tigers. The fishery is committed to catch and release, but one or two fish tickets are available for rainbows only. The fish range in size, and their potential for top quality is maintained through a high catch and release policy and low fishing pressure.
What tactics work well?
Pottishaw Fishery is best fished with floating lines and smaller flies, although intermediate and lure tactics are effective during colder months. Rods are limited to 15 per day to ensure ample room even during busy periods. Fly fishing for pike is available from August until March, but only fly fishing techniques are permitted (no dead baiting or lure fishing).
