Pride Lake, a former gravel pit, offers anglers an exclusive fishing experience on its approximately 18-acre water area. The lake is surrounded by landscaped areas adorned with trees, creating a picturesque setting. With varying depths, ranging from 22 feet to 2 or 3 feet in the margins, the average depth at ten meters from the bank is around 8 feet. This water is now exclusively reserved for Premium Ticket Holders.

What size do the fish go to?

Pride Lake is predominantly a Carp fishery, attracting Carp Anglers seeking exciting catches. The Carp population in the lake ranges from 14lbs to an impressive 41.5 lbs. Anglers specifically target the pristine common Carp weighing over 30lbs, which are highly sought after in this water. Additionally, the lake holds a decent number of large bream, with weights reaching up to 16lbs.

What tactics work well?

As Pride Lake is primarily a Carp fishery, successful tactics often revolve around carp angling techniques. Anglers commonly employ a variety of methods, including carp rigs with boilies or other carp-specific baits. Techniques such as baiting up with a Spomb or using PVA bags can be effective for attracting and enticing the Carp in this lake. Moreover, the banks of the lake are designed with safety in mind, as the graded slopes provide a smooth transition from the banks to the full water depth. Additionally, the location in the Sawley area provides vehicular access to the parking areas, accommodating disabled or infirm anglers in the areas nearest to the parking facilities.
