Fishery Information
Radipole Lake is offset from the Rivery Wey in Weymouth in the lovely county of Dorset.
The lake itself is actually run by the RSPB and is a nature reserve as it’s a really important breeding ground for all different types of birds.
It’s a big lake that’s 87 hectares in size and there is a large island and a lot of reed beds present which make good features to fish up to. The lake was originally part of the estuary until 1914 when a bridge closed it off to become a freshwater lake.
You can erect a bivvy here and fish up to 6 rods.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp to 30lbs 2oz, Roach, Rudd, Dace, Pike, Eels, Perch, Tench, Mullet in the summer, and several different species of Carp.
