Fishery Information
Situated on picturesque Newbridge Road, Burstwick, Rainbow Lake is a 6-acre mature gravel pit dug out in the 1800s for use in the construction of the Withernsea railway line. Operating as a specialist carp fishery, this water is more suited to experienced anglers as fishing here can be challenging at times.
Other fish species present in this fishery include bream, roach, tench, rudd, chub, perch, eel and gudgeon. There are 16 fishable swims on site and all are easily accessible.
To get there, follow these directions. Once in Burstwick head towards Keyingham, turn left at mini roundabout into Newbridge Road. Follow road straight on (single track metaled road) until you see sign for Rainbow Lake. Turn right and follow graveled track. You will then arrive at the caravan at the main entrance to the lake.
What size do the fish go to?
Mirror carp go to 29 lbs, common carp to 24 lbs and grass and ghost carp to 24 lbs.
What tactics work well?
Boilies and pellets work well and are available for purchase from the on-site shop.
What facilities are on site?
On-site facilities include 3 car parks, a bait and tackle shop, and a toilet by Peg 2.
Is parking available?
Parking is available at most swims for ease of access. Car access it to most swims and disabled friendly.
