Fishery Information
Managed by the Pulborough Angling Society and Hassocks & District Angling Society, River Arun is an attractive tidal river loved by carp and pike anglers alike.
River Arun is regarded as the second fastest flowing river in England, but it offers some of the best river fishing in Southern England.
It is home to big carp up to 20 lbs., pike in good numbers, bream, perch, chub, roach, sea trout, mullet, barbel and dace. Fish over 30 lbs. were reportedly caught from the opposite bank. If you are looking to have a productive pleasure fishing experience, you will surely love this site. As this water is tidal, please note that there is a variance of some 1.5metres between high and low water. The banks get very slippery so please be careful. High water and on the rising tide is best for fishing.
