Fishery Information
The River Brue is a really exciting fishing venue. Even very experienced anglers can struggle to catch here. Still, if you can master this stretch of river, you can pretty much fish anywhere else in the UK and have a successful day. Despite the challenges, it does make for an interesting fishing venue for beginners. Wall Eden Adventure does have rods and reels available to any beginners that want to give the water a go.
What size do the fish go to?
There are loads of fish species in this stretch of fish. Roach, rudd, bream, chub, perch, eel, gudgeon and even pike and carp. The carp are the hardest to catch in this river, and no one really knows what size they go up to because they are such a challenge.
What tactics work well?
One of the reasons this river can be such a challenge is because there is a wealth of natural food in the river. So, keep to natural baits as much as possible. The fish have been known to go for boilies and pellets and things, but they are much more inclined to take a natural bait in the right spot. Fishing close to snags and overhanging trees is a very good idea.
What facilities are on site?
Rod and tackle hire available. There is also accommodation on site.
