Fishery Information
Located in the idyllic Cumbria countryside, River Ellen is known for offering superb wild brown trout, sea trout and salmon fishing. Various stretches of the river is controlled by the Aspatria Angling Club.
River Ellen is one of the principal rivers of northwest Cumbria, along with the Wampool and the Waver.
During summer months, place, bass and flounders can be caught. On the other hand, during winter, codling, mullet and whiting can be caught in the river.
