Fishery Information
The River Farm Carp Fishery is, as the name suggests, primarily known for its carp.
Situated beside the River Meon, the River Farm Fishery runs about two acres in size and features 14 swims.
The River Farm came into existence back in the spring of 1977, when excavation began. With a lake filled by several underground springs, the facility began operation as the River Farm Trout Fishery. This ran for a good 16 years, but coarse fishing established itself in the lake and carp came into the picture. By 1994, the lake had transformed from a trout fishery to a coarse fishery.
The rest, as they say, is history.
River Farm features a sprinkling of trees and a few reed-lined areas, but it should be noted the grounds can become muddy when the weather turns wet.
Swims at River Farm Carp Fishery must be pre-booked. Users can purchase day tickets, night tickets, or 24-hour tickets. Additional hours can be added depending on availability.
The River Farm Fishery is open year-round, including on Christmas Day and during bank holidays.
