Fishery Information

Gifted with a very scenic view, this 470-yard river contains all fish species that are usually found in the River Trent, with Roach and Chub being predominant. There are about 35 fish species living in the River Trent including barbel, bream, carp, chub, dace, eel, gudgeon, pike, roach and salmon.

Day tickets are available on site. Night fishing is allowed but anyone who would like to do so would need to get a night permit. However, it is important to note that night fishing is not allowed on a day ticket.

From Lowdham Roundabout, take the A612 towards Southwell for 2.5 miles. When you arrive at Thurgarton Village, turn right into Bleasby Road. Continue for under 1 mile to sharp right bend into Station Road and continue for over 1 mile to the crossroads. After that, go straight on into Boat Lane and then continue along Boat Lane for 600 yards and you’ll see car parking available at the end of the lane. To get to the river, walk 200 yards upstream to the start of the end of the caravan site.
