Fishery Information
Rode Hill Fishery is a collection of three lakes nestled in stunning natural surroundings, making it the ideal location for a fishing trip in the countryside. The New Lake, the Middle Lake, and the Old Brickyard Lake, are the three lakes measuring approximately two acres each.
They are heavily stocked with Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Ghost Carp, Grass Carp, Tench, Dace, Roach, and Chub. Fishing in t three lakes is all year round including night fishing.
The fishery is a member of C.E.F.A.S, which means that they manage the lakes and the fish that live in them to the highest professional level possible. This management also includes protecting the habitat surrounding the lakes, which helps to support a diverse collection of flora and fauna.
What size do the fish go to?
The Carp range in weight between 4lbs – 18lbs
What tactics work well?
No keep nets are allowed unless they are inspected. Unhooking mats and quality landing netting are an absolute requirement. Only barbless hooks are permitted, and only decent boilies can be used.
