Fishery Information
Known for being home to lots of lilies, Rookery Pond is a perfect place to visit to enjoy a nice summer’s day. This site dried up years ago but is returning to its former glory. In 2008, this water has been restocked with carp, perch and roach. Crucian carp and tench survived the drought and is still growing in numbers. There are no reported enormous fish here but some anglers were able to catch bags of roach to 2 lbs. in the past. Catfish and pike are also present in this pond.
Managed by the Leatherhead and District Angling Society, Rookery Pond lies within Ashtead Park, on the eastern edge of Ashtead town. It is located on the east side of the A24, near the junction of Park Lane and Rookery Hill.
This water is open all year round. Fishing is by permission only. This site doesn’t have rod limit or restrictions.
