Fishery Information
The Surrey Rushmoor Fishing Lakes are a family run day-ticket fishery situated in the heart of the picturesque Surrey countryside, close to the historic town of Farnham. The lakes have flourished since the extensive restoration work done on them some years ago. The restoration included introducing large fish stocks.
The lower lake known as Kingfisher Lake is home to roach, bream, koi, and golden orfe, among other fish species. Pinetree Lake, the larger of the two, has an excellent stock of specimen carp that are responsive to a wide variety of fishing techniques. The lakes are also home to notable populations of chub, tench, and perch, amongst other fish species.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp can go to above 20lb.
What tactics work well?
Coarse fishing tactics-If you cast a maggot into the water, especially the Pinetree Lake, you are guaranteed to catch fish no matter where you are. If you float fish maggots at an approximate depth of one foot, you will get bites from the very first cast all the way through the very last cast.
