Rushton Lake is located in the grounds of Rushton Hall which is very close to the village of Rushton. People say about how lovely a place this to fish as its set in beautiful surroundings with peace and quiet away from the pace of the modern world.
In the lake there is a full mix of species including bream, roach, chub, carp, perch and the lake was stocked with 2000 small carp which are now starting to grow.
The lake has 43 permanent pegs with depths of 8ft in the deepest part of the lake. There are also 2 pegs that are designated for disabled anglers.
Matches are fished on this lake so its worth checking before you go to make sure there’s not a match on the day you want to go fishing.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp over 20lbs, Chub to 6lbs, Crucians, Gudgeon, Perch to 2lbs, Roach and Rudd, Tench to 4lbs
