Fishery Information
This fishery is run by Uxbridge Rovers Angling Conservation.
Sandersons is a charming and intimate fishing venue located on the Uxbridge Business Park. It was originally the Sanderson Fabric match lake, dug around 1930. The water has been relatively untouched for many years, resulting in a natural state with a diverse ecosystem. Anglers are encouraged to use baits sensibly, especially non-natural baits, to maintain the natural balance of the lake.
What size do the fish go to?
The fish stocks at Sandersons are not fully known, but good-sized carp, tench, and perch have been observed. Bream, eels, and silvers are also expected to be present. The specific size range of the fish is not provided.
What tactics work well?
For anglers who enjoy stalking and margin fishing, Sandersons is an ideal water. Most of the fish frequent the margins, so light baiting, quiet fishing, and stalking tactics are recommended for success.
What facilities are on site?
The venue offers 10 swims, providing anglers with various features such as snags, shade, overhanging trees, pads, rush beds, and deep margins. There is a 1-rod per angler limit, and the use of a maximum of 1kg of bait per day is enforced, including pellets, boilies, groundbait, and particles. Excessive use of maggots is also discouraged. The fishery manager must be notified of all catches, regardless of species or size. A limited number of night tickets are available, and interested individuals should contact the fishery manager or email the provided address to apply. Due to the intimate nature of the venue, large bivvies are not permitted, and a brolly system is recommended.
Is parking available?
Currently, parking is available in the A40 lay-by or by walking through from the Denham Colne car park. Permission to park in the Uxbridge Business Park has not been granted. The fishery management is working with the Highways Agency to secure on-site parking for visitors.
