Fishery Information
Set on a stretch of the River Severn known as the Lower Severn, Severn Expeditions can guide anglers of any skill level on a fantastic voyage.
The Lower Severn has depths of 20 feet and is stocked with barbel, carp, pike, bream, chub, roach, zander, berch, bleak, dace, and more.
A guided tour from Severn Expeditions is the perfect way to get in touch with these waters – and these fish. Tours are available for full eight-hour days, with tickets available by the boat. To that end, each boat sits two anglers along with the guide.
There are longer tickets available, including a package that includes three days of guided fishing and one day of solo angling.
Severn Expeditions operates on a catch and release program. Anyone caught leaving the property with fish will be reported to the police and the Environmental Agency.
What size do the fish go to?
Fish in the Lower Severn range from impressive pike over 25 pounds to punchy zander up to 16 pounds.
What tactics work well?
Anglers are welcome to bring their own gear along on Severn Expeditions, but there is tackle and bait available. Much of what’s on offer is specialized equipment, so don’t be afraid to try it out and get acquainted with the finer points of fishing the Lower Severn.
Packages at Severn Expeditions include fuel, a skipper, life jackets, and fishing bait.
What facilities are on site?
A Pack a Picnic service is available with Severn Expeditions that delivers lunch for anglers and their parties on the Lower Severn. Food is provided by the nearby Rose Garden Café, with a variety of picnic baskets complete with mini quiches, carrot sticks, sandwiches, homemade scotch eggs, and more.
