Fishery Information
Sherborne Lake is located within Sherborne Castle and Gardens and is a really lovely setting to spend the day fishing. It’s run by Yeovil and Sherborne Angling Association.
It’s a massive lake at 50 acres in size and goes up to depths of 11 feet in the middle.
Night fishing is not allowed at this venue and the lake is full of carp, bream, tench, perch, roach, eels, rudd and pike.
What size do the fish go to?
We couldn’t find any information regarding what size the fish go to.
What tactics work well?
We have no information regarding tactics but as its a big lake we imagine fishing may be hard until you locate the fish.
What facilities are on-site?
There are facilities at the castle itself but this is temporarily closed at the moment.
Is parking available?
Yes, there’s plenty of parking available.
