Fishery Information
Shipton Lake is a 4-hectare body of water located roughly 8 miles east of York and owned by the BCAA. It is surrounded by forests and has 23 fishing spots. The water is sparkling clear and teeming with natural food nutrients.
An otter fence protects the animals from predators. The coarse fishing lake is home to a variety of fish species, including carp, pike, barbel, chub, bream, tench, roach, ide, and others. The lakes are open for fishing all year round and night fishing is allowed through advance booking.
