Fishery Information
With two lakes set in the lovely Worcestershire countryside and a family-friendly approach that welcomes all anglers, the Sion Farm Fishery offers truly noteworthy fishing.
This stillwater fishery is mostly noted for carp, roach, and perch. Specimen carp are available at this site, plus it is open for match fishing.
Main Lake is near the entrance, while the smaller lake is tucked a little further in.
Both lakes are open from 7:00 am until dusk and both have similar fish stocks.
What size do the fish go to?
Roach up to two pounds have been recorded at the Sion Farm Fishery, as well as bream up to four pounds.
Silver fish nets over 25 pounds have been known to materialize, while match fishing presents some unique opportunities for major hauls.
What tactics work well?
Simple is best. Feed two lines if using a pole or waggler, as this will vary the approach.
Floating baits are good here, while carp tend to like pellet fed over a surface of corn. This should attract more than just the usual suspects, so don’t be afraid to get creative.
Casting is relatively straightforward at most spots at Sion Farm Fishery, as the banks are broad and clean.
Barbless hooks only.
All fish must be returned to the water as soon as possible.
No keepnets, except during contest play.
What facilities are on site?
There are toilets on the premises.
Is parking available?
A car park is located 20 metres away from the lake’s nearest platforms.
