The Astwood Bank Angling Club is responsible for the management and upkeep of the small and secluded Skilts Pool, measuring 1.5 acres, and found in a quiet neighborhood of Redditch.
Skilts is well stocked with a variety of species, the most of which include mainly carp, and a substantial head of roach, bream, perch, and tench, which helps to make Skilts an all-round destination that offers outstanding fishing during the entire season.
In January of 2019, the bulk of the platforms at the fishery were replaced with a single platform larger and accessible to people with disabilities.
What size do the fish go to?
There are carp averaging around 6 pounds with the occasional double making an appearance. The lake is in size
What tactics work well?
Fish can be caught on a variety of methods including the pole, waggler, and ledger/feeder, in conjunction with standard baits such as maggot, sweetcorn, boilies, pellet, and worms.

Yes, parking is available, but parking by the pool is limited to disabled members only, max 5 cars.
