Fishery Information
Located at scenic and peaceful Fenton, Smithpool Lake is a large body of water that holds an impressive stock of bream, carp, tench and silverfish. With a lot of potential, it offers a breathtaking view and is ideal for carp and float fishing.
Tickets for this fishery are available from Whieldon Road, Dolphin Lake and Rowleys Fishing Tackle. Fishing on this venue is allowed in designated pegs only. Anglers are only allowed to use barbless hooks.
Floating bats, live baits, uncooked nut or seed, bait boats, fires, barbecues, polyball inserts, dogs, fires, guns and litter are prohibited. Unhooking mats should be used appropriately and all anglers need to have a suitable landing net. A minimum of 12-lb. line and 20-lb. wire trace is required for pike fishing.
Anglers over 8 years of age can fish from dawn to dusk. Anglers under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Night fishing is allowed for full members only.
