Fishery Information
Stones Fishery is a unique and fascinating Fishery located on the route between Halfway Houses and Sheerness. It is safe to say that it is well liked by the people who live on the Isle of Sheppey, who are affectionately referred to as “swampies.”
In a region that unquestionably lacks in terms of the availability of coarse fisheries, it is an intriguing venue to have access to. As a popular tourist destination, it is also ideal for anglers and members of their families who do not fish, as there are plenty of local activities to keep non-fishing members of the family occupied.
There are three lakes within the fishery, and each offers a different type of fishing experience. A small 30-peg Children’s Lake with a wooden walkway and a guardrail to specimen fishing in the Specimen Lake for large carp and bream, as well as competition fishing in Match Lake.
Fishing for Carp/Specimen and Coarse are two of the most popular activities at the Stillwater fishery. Among the many fish found in the fishery are Carp (including Mirror, Common, Koi, Brown, Ghost, and Crucian), Green and Golden Tench, Rudd, Roach, Goldfish, and Fan-tailed Shubunkins, to name just a few.
What size do the fish go to?
