Sutton Lake Syndicate is a well-matured farm lake located in rural Shropshire. The lake was dug over 40 years ago and is known for its reeded margins and overhanging willows. The lake has a maximum depth of 11ft and a steady gradient towards the shallow end, where there is 6ft of water in the middle. There are excellent deep margins all around the fishery, making it an ideal venue for close-quarters fishing.
What size do the fish go to?
The lake has a healthy stock of 150+ carp, with some over the special 30lb mark. The lake also boasts specimen-sized roach (current best 2lb 15oz) and pure crucian carp (current best 4lb 2oz). Perch are also a predominant species in the lake. The carp in Sutton Lake Syndicate are good-sized, and the lake produces big fish.
What tactics work well?
Various tactics work well at Sutton Lake Syndicate. Anglers have reported success with boilies, pellets, and particles. The carp are known to be partial to sweet and fruity flavours, and fishing in the margins can also be productive. What facilities are on site?
Sutton Lake Syndicate offers a range of facilities to ensure anglers have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. There are 15 purpose-built bivvy-friendly pegs, all separated by trees, so anglers have their own lake area to fish. The lake is behind two sets of locked gates, making it a secure venue with safe parking. Once parked, access is via the path around the lake.
