Swarkestone Syndicate is located on the 80-acre Swarkestone gravel pit, offering classic large pit fishing with a variety of features including islands, bars, spits, shallows, weedy bays, and large deep areas. The syndicate has an excellent relationship with Swarkestone Sailing Club, who provide their facilities and resources to manage the pit for fishing.

What size do the fish go to?

The current stock of fish on the pit has a degree of mystery, but some of the original fish have made an appearance on the bank and there have been credible sightings of other large fish. The pit has previously held famous stock, and a stocking policy is being created. The carp in the pit can grow to over 20lbs.

What facilities are on site?

The site is protected by electrified otter fencing, and pathways have been re-established and upgraded to provide excellent comfort. There are plenty of swims, with the ability to park behind all but one of them. Additionally, there is access to the swims by vehicle, which is a major improvement from the past.
