Fishery Information
Located in East Yorkshire, this fishery is situated approximately 2.5 miles northeast of Sproatley and 1 mile southwest of Aldbrough. Aside from offering excellent fishing experience, this venue provides self catering, bed and breakfast and half board accommodation for visitors.
Tansterne Fishery is a float only venue with 32 pegs, a number of which are suitable for disabled anglers. It is originally a complex of 3 ponds: Main Pond, Car Park Pond and Canal Pond. The Car Park and Main ponds were joined together to form a larger pond. The Canal Pond is fished from one side only. Keepnets and landing nets are supplied at every peg.
The ponds are home to carp to 30 lbs, common carp to 18 lbs, barbel, chub, tench, ide, roach, rudd, bream, crucian carp, perch and ghost carp.

Carp go to 30 lbs and common carp to 18 lbs.
What tactics work well?
The Main Pond is ideal for waggler fishing. On the other hand, the Canal Pond is perfect for pole fishing.
