Tees Valley Lakes, found in Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham, is made up of five lakes and it offers an excellent fishing environment across the board. The fishery maintains a supply of English solid carp of the highest possible quality, including strains of Leney, Sutton, Dinkesbuhl, and Harrow carp. It is continuing to invest in the fisheries by adding new fish stocks and breeding home-grown carp to ensure a sustainable future for the fisheries.
Alpha Lake, explicitly constructed to attract carp anglers, is a specimen carp lake that spans 2.5 acres. The lake was designed with various features in each swim, including an island, bars, gullies, plateaus, and deeper sections. No two anglers can fish directly across from one another thanks to placements of the swims. Eagle Lake is 2 acres and shares the same features as Alpha Lake.
Hilltop is 1.5 acres, with one double swim on a fully reed-lined lake, two sunken plateaus, varying depths, and a stock of sixty-five carp. Sangemere is a syndicate lake only accessible to members. The lake is 2.5 acres. Yarm is tucked away in a quiet valley sheltered from strong winds. It is approximately 1 acre and contains 18 angling swims in addition to a variety of features such as two islands, reed fringe edging, and depths ranging from 3 feet to 6 feet.
What size do the fish go to?
Every carp in Alpha is going 20lb+ in just two years since opening. The weight Range is 21lb to 35lb.
Eagle Lake’s weight range is 10lb to 32lb.
Hilltop weights currently go up to 27lb with a weight Range of 10lb to 27lb
Sangemere weight Range is up to 26lb
Yarm Weight Range Carp average 2lb to 8lb
What tactics work well?
Pole, method feeder, and waggler fishing, with paste, luncheon meat, chopped worm, small feed pellet, maggot, castor, produce plenty of bites, getting fish competing for the food.
What facilities are on site?
Protected 24/7 by electric otter-proof fencing and electronic automated entrance gate, tackle and bat shop, and toilets
