Fishery Information
Situated just a few minutes away from the flourishing village of Tenterden, these waters offer a spectacular location for the keen trout fisherman. There are two lakes in total, and despite their relatively small size, they both offer a healthy stock of Brown and Rainbow Trout.
Day tickets start from £26 and operate until sunset. It is permitted to take fish home, however there is an agreed maximum limit of 10 fish per permit. The lakes are regularly restocked and management pride themselves on running a successful ‘catch and release’ policy.
What size do the fish go to?
Fish are most commonly caught within the 3-6lbs region, however larger fish can go up to 12lbs.
What tactics work well?
Anglers have reported that floating and intermediate lines yield successful results. It can also be beneficial to utilise sinkers in the deeper areas of water. Popular flies such as the ‘Green Grizzly Beetle’ are used with frequency and can be purchased from the on-site bait shop. Many fishermen choose to use barbless hooks; however, standard hooks appear to be adequate too.
What facilities are on site?
There is a bait shop on location which supplies a variety of different flies as well as any other tackle one might require. Tuition can also be provided by the on-site instructor, starting at £50 per lesson. Clean and accessible toilet facilities are available on location.
Is parking available?
Safe and secure parking spots are available.
