Fishery Information
There are three pools at Willow Farm Fisheries, each of which offers a unique experience.
The Silver Pool is the first pool most encounter on their way through the farm. This open spot is noted for being easier to fish than the other pools.
The Willow Pool is longer and, as the name suggests, adorned with willow trees.
Finally, the Island Pool provides a mix of sheltered and open pegs. The spot is highlighted by an island and lily pads.
Regardless of where anglers decide to fish, Willow Farm Fisheries is designed to appeal to those who like more natural surroundings. As such, many of the modern accoutrements found at other sites are not located at Willow Farm.
This sites prides itself on being rather low-key, which makes it the ideal location for those seeking a day’s escape to somewhere out of the way.
Night fishing is available at Willow Farm Fisheries.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp up to 35 pounds have turned up at Willow Farm. Seven-pound roach, rudd, and tench have been spotted, while bream can clock in at six pounds. There are also crucians and some good-sized gudgeon.
What tactics work well?
There are few rules at Willow Park, but only barbless hooks are permitted. This is pretty standard stuff for modern fisheries. Keepnets are permitted, but anglers are asked not to retain carp over four pounds.
What facilities are on site?
Facilities are lean at Willow Park Fisheries and that’s the way they like it. There are toilets and a shower block on the track between Silver Pool and Willow Pool, however.
All pools are suitable for disabled anglers.
Is parking available?
There are parking spots around the lake. Anglers can park behind their pegs only if they are on the roadside banks.
