Fishery Information
The Threemilestone Angling Club is at Langarth Pools, located on the outskirts of Truro in Cornwall. There are two pools: The Match Pool and The General Pool. Both of these pools contain a diverse assortment of fish species, and both are located in a peaceful and serene valley where you can enjoy fishing in peace.
The younger of the two pools is the Match Pool. There are many species of fish in this established pond, which is about a third of an acre in size and contains Bream, Carp, Chub, Gudgeon, Perch, Roach, Rudd, and Tench. The pool is frequently put to use for the various club competitions.
The General Pool is the original pool built all the way back in 1982. It is roughly a half acre in size and is home to a wide variety of carp species, some of which are Common, Crucian, Ghost, Leather, Mirror, and F1’s. You can also find a variety of other types of bread here, though the majority of it is Carp.
What size do the fish go to?
Fish sizes vary from fingerlings to 6lbs Chub, with a good selection of sizes in between, Carp go up to 8-9lbs.
What tactics work well?
Common baits used are maggots, sweetcorn and pellets, although luncheon meat, dog biscuits, hemp and bread are useful.
What facilities are on site?
Toilet with full disabled access.
