Fishery Information
Timberland Fishery is just outside Harlow in Essex. It is a brilliant fishery that is known most for its fantastic match fishing. If you love some match or pleasure fishing, Timberland Fishery is a brilliant option for you. There are five lakes to fish at this venue, all geared toward match fishing which is rare and lovely to see in the south. Fished correctly, the weights here are almost unbelievable. There are some massive carp in these lakes that can really add value to your net, but don’t ignore the smaller fish either. Matches are often won or lost at Timberland Fishery on a few ounces.
What size do the fish go to?
The largest carp here go to about 27lbs, but there are plenty of 20s and mid doubles to catch too. There are also barbel to 8lbs, which are very rare but fun to catch. There is tench to 12lbs, bream to 6lb and perch to 4.5lbs. So, plenty of lovely-sized fish to catch here.
What tactics work well?
Pole, float and feeder fishing at Timberland Fishery are ideal. Most of the fish respond extremely well to maggots and corn. Of course, pellets are a must at Timberland Fishery if you want the larger carp.
What facilities are on site?
There is good disabled access to many of the pegs at Timberland Fishery. There is also a lovely cafe serving some wonderful food. There are toilets and disabled toilets. A few of the lakes have parking available right next to the lake.
