Fishery Information
The Townsend Lakes Fishery is located in the town of Wisbech in the county of Cambridgeshire. There is a diverse range of fish species in the mixed coarse lakes, which are open seven days a week, all year round.
Kingfisher Lake is the larger of the two lakes and has 33 fishing piers. The lake, which has been around for a long time, has a number of interesting features, including an island to the left of the lake and another sunken one to the right.
Reed grows abundantly throughout the lake’s various sections. The lake contains a diverse range of species, including common and mirror carp up to 26 pounds, tench, chubb, barbel, perch, bream, and skimmers are among the species found in these waters. Other species include Rudd, golden Rudd, crucian carp, f1 carp, and even eels.
Woodpecker Pool, the second lake, has 20 pegs and is very even all around. Among the species found in the pool are: common carp, ghost carp, mirror carp, barbel, tench and golden tench, skimmers, roaches, rudd, blue and golden orfe, golden rudd, bream, crucian carp, koi carp, grass carp, f1 carp, ide, and, on rare occasions, goldfish. A few of the carp weigh more than 15 pounds.
