Fishery Information
Located in Burton on Stather, Trentside Fisheries is a tranquil setting that offers excellent fishing to anglers of all abilities. The site consists of a 7-acre lake that has long been known as one of the best Tench waters in the country.
Furthermore, the area is surrounding by mature woodlands which are home to numerous wildlife species. Additionally, the water hosts various fishing features such as reeds, pools and overhanging trees. Of the many available swims, several are fully accessible to the elderly and disabled angler.
Fishing takes place year-round and the site is healthily stocked with Bream, Tench, Eels, Perch, Carp and Pike.
What size do the fish go to?
Eels are commonly landed between 4 and 6 lbs. Moreover, Perch, Bream, Tench and Rudd generally have a range of 2-6lbs. Larger Carp and Pike are regularly caught in double figures, with the largest specimen exceeding 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Standard still water practices tend to be effective. Using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms is useful for enticing Carp. Finally, utilising pellets and boilies during the warmer months is extremely beneficial.

Clean and accessible toilet facilities are open to visitors. Also, there are a number of shops and restaurants within a short distance.
