Fishery Information
The horseshoe-shaped lake at Turf Croft Farm dates back to the 19th century and incorporates features such as islands, lily pads, and margins. The hand-dug lake is located in a prime woodland setting in the protected New Forest. It features well-spaced swims that provide the angler with the highest level of solitude possible, which is necessary for catching the larger fish.
There is sufficient access for people with disabilities, and the lake is ideally suited for anglers who fish for either recreation or competition. In addition to carp, green tench, bream, roach, crucian carp, and rudd, the location is inhabited by a variety of additional species, some of which are golden tench, golden rudd, and silver bream.
