The Ully Gully pond is a historic water body situated adjacent to “Pride Lake” and “Redhouse Lake” in the area that was once part of the old River Trent course. When the new Trent course was formed in 1790 with the introduction of the canal system, the Ully Gully was left as a pond, retaining its name and historical significance. Spanning approximately 3 acres, the pond boasts an average depth of 5-6 feet.

What size do the fish go to?

The Ully Gully pond is home to a diverse range of fish species. Anglers can expect to encounter Roach, Bream, and Tench in significant numbers. Some of the Bream specimens in this pond can reach weights of up to 5 lbs, while the Tench can grow to impressive sizes, with weights of up to 8 lbs.
