Fishery Information
The Bridgwater Angling Association owns Walrow Ponds and has done a lot of work improving this fishing venue recently. There are three lakes on this complex (Railway, Snag and Factory). Snag is a brilliant lake for match-style fishing, and you’ll have a busy day ahead of you as the lake is nicely stocked. The other two lakes are usually reserved for carp anglers, but match anglers shouldn’t ignore these two either.
What size do the fish go to?
Snag lake has good quality carp up to double figures, but most are under 10lbs. There is also some nice sized bream in this lake as well as roach, rudd and a few tench.
Railway has some beautiful carp in their 20s that are very exciting to catch. There is also plenty of doubles in this lake, so anyone fishing this is in for a good fight.
Factory has a 30lb carp. There is also a few 20s and plenty of doubles to fish for. Of course, most anglers on Factory are going for the 30lber.
What tactics work well?
Most carp tactics work very well on all these lakes. Snag can be fished in just about any way, though, and is very popular with pole anglers. PVA bags are a good trick with the other two. Not many anglers use PVA bags here, so it can give you an edge.

Yes, there is a car park in Highbridge.
