Owned by Yorkshire Water, Washburn Valley Reservoirs consists of 3 reservoirs nestling in the picturesque landscape of the Washburn Valley. This venue provides excellent opportunities for walking, fishing and canoeing. In addition, this site is easily accessible from Yorkshire Dales, Harrogate, Otley and Leeds.

Offering high quality fly and coarse fishing, all 3 reservoirs are home to wild brown trout. Both Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs cover 153 acres of water and are home to rainbow trout to 14 lbs. Swinsty offers easy access for disabled anglers.

Covering 140 acres of water, Thruscross Reservoir is an excellent wild brown trout fishery but offers limited bank space for anglers.

Several ticket options are available for this fishery.

Rainbow trout go to 14 lbs.

What tactics work well?

Fly, spinning and coarse fishing are allowed at Swinsty Reservoir. Only fly fishing is allowed at Fewston and Thruscross Reservoirs.

What facilities are on site?

Each reservoir has at least 1 car park. Toilet facilities are available at Swinsty Moor car park. Disabled access is available at Swinsty Reservoir.
