Set on a charming rural setting near Reading, Wasing fishery comprises of two lakes and a chalk stream river.
Rowney’s lake spans across 40 acres and is an ideal spot for both novices and the more seasoned angler.The depths of water go down to 27th ft, with healthy quantities of Pike, Carp, Bream and Perch being recorded. Furthermore, the scenery is fantastic and there are a variety of fishing features to soak in.
Elephant lake is a 4-acre site that boasts a variety of stunning features, as well as providing a healthy stock of Carp and Tench.
The River Kennet provides a serene location as well as a healthy number of Barbel, Chub, Perch and Pike. Additionally, the venue also affords easy access for the disabled angler.
Annual membership fees to Rowney’s lake start from £365, with Elephant Lake and River Kennet memberships costing £265.
What size do the fish go to?
Pike in Rowney’s lake can reach over 27lbs, as well as Carp in the 40lbs region. Carp in Elephant Lake frequently weigh 30lbs, along with a healthy number of Pike at 25lbs. Barbel in the River Kent have been recorded at 16lbs, as well as Perch coming over 8lbs.
What tactics work well?
