Fishery Information
WE BELIEVE THIS IS NO LONGER A FISHERY AND ISN’T OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Welham Lake is located in close proximity to Great Bowden and Market Harborough in the county of Leicestershire. It is a stunning lake of 5.5 acres fed by springs and surrounded by 18 acres of forest. It is not known for having the largest fish, but rather for the atmosphere and the experience that it provides.
The lake has 12 bookable pegs, excellent facilities, and services, and it is ranked as one of the best day ticket lakes in the country. It also offers exclusivity while fishing and the swims have been placed with tranquility in mind. The lake has been heavily stocked with fish, but fishing in it is by no means simple.
There is a wide variety of coarse fish in there, including bream, carp, pike, roach, the occasional eel, and tench, and the fish tend to show themselves off quite often.
