Wellfield Pools Fishery Information
With 7 lakes in total Wellfield Pools offers plenty variety for anglers. Located in a woodland setting close to the Wyre Forest in Worcestershire, the fishery is privately owned and family run.
Each of the lakes is well established. Carp, bream, rudd, tench and roach are the commonly caught species. Gudgeon and perch are also caught in some of the ponds.
Howard’s Pool is the Silver Fish pool for all the above plus gudgeon. Meaton Pool has F1 carp up to 16lbs, while the Swimming Pool is popular for carp up to 25lbs.
There is a pool suitable for children – the Little Carp Pool – with a depth of just 2.5ft.
Wellfield Pools also features a pair of holiday cottages for those interested in a fishing holiday. These are within a short walk from the pools and are fully equipped and furnished.
The fishery allows dogs on a lead, barbed hooks are not permitted, and ground bait can be used in moderation. Wellfield Pools opens at dawn and closes at dusk.

Wellfield Pools is known for a wide variety of carp across the 7 pools reaching as much as 25lbs. In the smaller ponds you will find carp up to 16lbs.
What facilities are on site?
Limited facilities are available at Wellfield Pools, although the fully equipped and furnished holiday cottages can be booked for weekends or longer.
