Fishery Information
West House Trout Lakes is one of the best trout fisheries in the UK. It is set into 120 acres of picturesque farmland in the village of Bishopton. There are four lakes on the complex, all holding a good stock of rainbow, blue and brown trout. West House welcomes anglers of all levels and offers first-class fishing on one of the most beautiful fishing venues in the country. West House offers a one day ticket option, which allows you to kill your first fish. You can then catch and release however many as you can land throughout your time at the venue. All of the lakes are stocked nicely, so you should be in for a very eventful day with the right tactics.
What size do the fish go to?
The current fishery record is 19lb, but there are brown trout on site to 22lb. There’s also rainbow and blue trout from 2-18lb. There are also carp up to 32lb and other coarse fish in some of the lakes, which can be fished for on the fly.
What tactics work well?
