Fishery Information
Westfield Country Park is located on the East Yorkshire Coast. It is a private, family-owned fishery with three lakes on the complex. There are also beautiful log cabins all around the lakes, which are available for anglers to stay in.
During your visit to Westfield Country Park, you have the opportunity to fish on all lakes. Lake one is about an acre and looks and fishes a bit like a canal. Lake two has an island where the fish like to hang out and is about two and a half acres. Lake three also has an island and is circular in shape; it is also only about an acre in size.
What size do the fish go to?
Westfield Country Park is a mixed fishery. There are carp up to about 28lbs. Bream to a massive 12lbs. Tench to about 4lbs and roach and rudd to nearly 2lbs. There is also a ghost carp hiding in lake two over 9lbs.
What tactics work well?
Carp fishing tactics work really well here. Boilies are a solid choice if targeting carp. If you are targeting the bream or tench, bread, worms, and maggots are a must. For the smaller fish, a can of corn and some good quality groundbait will keep you busy all day long.
What facilities are on site?
There are log cabins available to rent, there are also toilets available throughout the site. Most of the pegs have wooden platforms, perfect for disabled anglers.
Is parking available?
Yes, plenty of parking is available.
