Westmoor Farm Fisheries is a carp fishing venue located in Caistor, North Lincolnshire. It boasts two lakes: The Specimen carp lake and the Sandpit lake.
What size do the fish go to?
The Specimen carp lake holds carp up to over 33lb, and there are 47 fish in the lake. The Sandpit lake has carp up to 30+lbs, and a stock of around 780 fish up to 30lb+.
What tactics work well?
For the Specimen carp lake, anglers recommend fishing with boilie or pellet on the long-distance spots, and targeting the margins with a scattering of bait for the larger fish.
For the Sandpit lake, it is recommended to fish with pellet or corn at the bottom of the margin, or use zig rigs and surface baits in the summer.
What facilities are on site?
Westmoor Farm Fisheries has a carp shop on site, selling all the essentials an angler would need.
There are two lodges available to stay in: The Specimen Lake Lodge and the Luxury Lodge. The Specimen Lake Lodge has a lakeside social area with seating, a BBQ, charging points, and an outside washing area with hot and cold water. The lodge sleeps up to four people with one double bed and two singles, and it has a shower, toilet, fridge, freezer, BBQ, electric, covered social area, and a lakeside VIP carping swim.
The Luxury Lodge is located on the lakeside of the Sandpit lake and is fully heated. It features a log-burning hot tub with mood lighting and jets, a securely fenced 70ft private garden area with BBQ and seating, two double bedrooms that can sleep up to four people with memory foam mattresses, a private bathroom, kitchen, lounge area with TV, and bifold doors that open up to allow you to take in the views.
