Fishery Information
Situated on the outskirts of Oswestry Town Centre, Weston Pools is set in 20 acres of picturesque surroundings. It has 5 pools that were all built and designed by owner Michael Philbin, who is a seasoned match angler himself. This green and well-tended site has ponds that are well-stocked with barbel, bream, carp and tench.
The pools have an average depth of 5 feet and 3 feet in the margins. All of them are stocked with carp to 10 lbs., chub to 1 lb. and tench to 4 lbs..
The Wilfred Owen Pool has 20 platformed pegs and a single island situated towards one end in the middle. This pool is home to common carp, mirror carp, chub and tench.
The Belvidere Pool has 27 platformed pegs and its depth can go up to 7 feet. It has 2 tiny islands and is home to mirror carp, common carp, chub and tench.
The Stretton Pool is one of the newer pools built on site. The depth down the edge is between 4 and 6 feet beyond the shelf. Common carp from 8 oz. is the main stock in this pool.
What size do the fish go to?
Tench go to 4 lbs., chub to 1 lb. and barbel to over 10 lbs..

There are waterfront lodges, log cabins and hobbit houses available on site.
