Fishery Information
Whitebridge Farm Fishery is a privately owned fishery in Norfolk. It is run by Gilly and Ian, who purchased the site in 2007. When they did, the lake was extremely run down, and they spent months pulling trash and rubbish out of the lake and getting rid of the build-up of weed.
They have created some lovely swims around the one-acre lake and have worked extremely hard to create a fishing lake that is nice and peaceful for those on holiday at the farm, but one that is nice and active for the anglers. There is plenty of fish to catch in the lake, and it is home to a number of matches throughout the year.
What size do the fish go to?
Even Gilly and Ian aren’t too sure how big the carp go up to in the lake. There are common, mirror, ghost and Crucian carp in this lake, but what size they reach isn’t known at the moment. They could go up to 30lbs. There is also several stunning koi in the lake too as well as roach, rudd, bream, tench and perch, all to a good size.
What tactics work well?
As this lake was left natural for many years, many of the larger residents respond well to natural baits. Of course, pellets and boilies can attract just about any fish. Still, this lake is a very exciting place to fish because even corn and maggots can attract some of the bigger beauties here. Fishing on the bottom is certainly the best way of catching the big ones, but try some new baits; you never know what you could hook here.
What facilities are on site?
The site also has a holiday lodge.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available.
