Forest Grange, Forest Rd, Colgate, Horsham, West Sussex RH13 6HX, United KingdomFishery Information
Whitevane fisheries has a history that dates back more than 200 years and it is known for being an extremely well-established and very picturesque venue. The fine carp fishery is located on the outskirts of Horsham‘s St. Leonard’s forest, deep in the countryside of West Sussex.
It is well-known among members of the carp community in the United Kingdom for the monstrous carp that call this fishery home. The lake has twenty well-spaced pegs, and its depths range from about 5 feet in the margins to about 15 feet in the middle, providing several ledges and patches along the way.
There is a wealth of features to fish, including islands, reed beds, and even floating islands, all of which provide ample opportunities for anglers.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp can grow to be well over 40 pounds. With several of them weighing over 30 pounds and many more at 20 pounds or more, many skilled anglers are able to string together 100-pound catch sessions.
What tactics work well?
Whitevane fisheries strategies have been and will continue to be the topic of much discussion, but apparently fresh boilies fished close to the features catch the most fish. Particle beds, or rolled oats, topped with hemp and various hook-baits (including plastics), also work extremely well.
What facilities are on site?
